(Rope) Bottoming beginners

We firmly believe that bottoming is more then passively throwing yourself in a situation and simply sustaining it. Instead, we see bottoming for rope as combining many different skills and tools: from breathing techniques to mental stamina, body awareness, communication and more. These teachable skills can make all the difference in your bottoming experience and so we decided to create a space dedicated to learning and practicing these

This is a switching and self tying based class, meaning we welcome solo as well as couples. In each class expect a discussion of the weekly topic followed by demo and teaching of related skills and tools, after which there will be time to practice and see how these tools can be used in play. Feel free to repeat the topics that interest you as often as you like, as the content will change based on participants experience and individual challenges.

This is a bi-monthly class on Tuesdays

Tied to Presence

A Guided Meditation & Self-Tie Journey with Julieta Chiara and Tut

What happens when rope becomes more than something you do—and instead becomes a way of arriving?

Tied to Presence is a live online workshop that weaves together guided meditation, mindful self-tying, and somatic awareness into a single, immersive experience. Combining Kor Berlin's approach to embodiment and nervous system awareness with Julieta Chiara's gentle rope instruction, this class invites you to slow down and experience rope as a practice of presence.

Throughout the session, you'll be guided through a simple self-tie sequence, moving at an intentional pace with space to notice your breath, your body, and the subtle shifts that happen when attention meets touch. Rather than striving for complexity or perfect technique, we'll explore rope as a personal ritual—a way to ground, reconnect, and come home to yourself.

Whether you're looking to deepen your self-tying practice, cultivate mindfulness in a new way, or simply carve out two hours of intentional pause in a busy world, this workshop offers a space to breathe, soften, and be present.

During this workshop, we'll explore:

  • Rope as a mindfulness and meditation practice

  • Grounding through touch, breath, and ritual

  • Nervous system regulation through slow, intentional tying

  • Embodiment and self-connection

  • A guided self-tie journey suitable for a range of experience levels

You'll need:

  • 1–2 lengths of rope

  • A quiet space where you can move comfortably

  • Basic familiarity with self-tying

The workshop is held live on Zoom and includes access to the recording for 7 days, so you can revisit the practice in your own time.

Breath for Bottoming

A 2-hour online class

Breath is one of the simplest and most powerful tools we have in rope.

And often one of the first things we lose.

When intensity rises, through stretch, pain, anticipation, exposure, or emotional activation, many bottoms unconsciously brace, hold their breath, disconnect, or leave themselves to endure.

This class explores breath not as performance, but as a way of staying with yourself.

Together we will explore:

  • what happens to breath under stress and intensity

  • the difference between breathing through something and overriding yourself

  • how breath shapes pain, sensation, and emotional processing

  • using breath to track limits and regulation

  • breath as communication between partners

  • when breath becomes a warning sign

Next date is the 27th Oct at 19:30h

Hosted by Soft Daddy, Tut and changing guests, the evening combines community discussion, practical inspiration, a live rope demonstration, and an optional facilitated rope jam.

Whether you're brand new to rope or have years of experience, you're invited to join us to share stories, ask questions, discover new ideas, or simply listen and connect.

What to expect

  • Guided arrival and community conversation

  • Fat-centered discussion and shared experiences

  • Creative rope demonstration

  • Optional Q&A

What is Dearmouring?

Dearmouring is a very powerful, transformative, healing work that works on many levels - physical, emotional, energetic, spiritual.

De-armouring is the process of identifying and gently 'melting up' what we call Armour, through different somatic, therapeutic and healing techniques – from bodywork, to breathwork, energetics, meditation, movement, sound and emotional release tools.

The Armour is everything that gets stored and stuck in our body and energy system; everything we unconsciously carry around – from unhealthy patterns, painful experiences, repressed emotions, unmet needs, unexpressed desires.

In the body, it can manifest as muscular pain and tension – almost as if our body always had to be ready to fight all the time. It can also manifest as blockages in the energy flow – for example, when one or more energy centers have been left inactive for a long time, or when we have had to shut them down to protect ourselves from a negative, traumatic experience.

In life, we sometimes face very challenging situations where the only way to survive and move on is to “amour” ourselves as a form of self-protection, as a copying mechanism to keep ourselves from drowning and to try to maintain some kind of balance.

In a way, we put on an armour, cover ourselves with a cloak, take a shallow breath and hope that no one recognizes our masquerade.

These armours—shaped by past traumas, fears, or limiting beliefs—may once have protected us. But today, they often keep us from living fully and authentically.

So...How do we work with it? What can we do with this armour? How can we begin to take it off—or even use it to our advantage?Let's start from the beginning. First destination: Awareness.

§- Who is this workshop for?

Everyone who is ready to reconnect, heal, and grow. It may speak to you if you:

Seek Personal Growth >>> If you feel ready to explore yourself on a deeper level; if you want to understand and transform limiting patterns
Long to Heal & Express Emotions >>> If you struggle to express emotions like anger, pain, or fear; if you carry unresolved shame or wounding you'd like to release
Feel Stuck or Disconnected >>> If you feel numb, lost, or unsure how to move forward; if you want to break out of old life patterns and feel more grounded
